New Delhi: Highway drivers traveling from Delhi to Ambala were surprised to see Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a truck last night.

Congress sources said the senior leader was on his way to spend some time with his mother, who was visiting the capital of Himachal Pradesh. On the way, he met a truck driver at a dhaba in Sonipat, Haryana and decided to travel to Ambala where he spoke about their work and hardships.
Mr. Gandhi's picture in the official truck of the Congress is conducting the video. In a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio address, the party said, "According to media reports, around 90 lakh drivers ply on Indian roads. They have their own problems. Rahul ji has listened to their mana ki baat."
According to Congress sources, this was an unusual move by Mr. Gandhi compared to the public rally in Bengaluru ahead of the Karnataka assembly elections.
Earlier, Mr. Gandhi was seen riding a Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus from Bengaluru and talking to women passengers to understand their vision for Karnataka.
Since the journey from Kanyakumari to Srinagar, the Congress has been talking to the people through public meetings.
