Twister Biparjoy To Heighten In Next a day and a half: Climate Office

Tornado Biparjoy: The exceptionally extreme cyclonic tempest was situated over the east-focal Middle Eastern Ocean found 870 km west-southwest of Mumbai.

Twister Biparjoy is set to heighten in the following a day and a half and will travel north-northwestwards in the following two days, the India Meteorological Division (IMD) said in a tweet on Friday.

The extremely serious cyclonic tempest, Tornado Biparjoy, was situated over the east-focal Middle Eastern Ocean found 840-kilometer west-southwest of Goa and 870 km west-southwest of Mumbai at 11:30 pm on June 8, the IMD said.

"Extremely serious cyclonic tempest Biparjoy over east-focal Middle Eastern Ocean at 2330 hours IST of 08th June, 2023 over around 840 km west-southwest of Goa, 870 km west-southwest of Mumbai. To strengthen further steadily during next a day and a half and move almost north-northwestwards in next 2 days," it tweeted.

Prior in a notice, the climate division said, "VSCS BIPARJOY over east-focal Middle Eastern Ocean, lay focused at 0530hrs IST of 08th June, close to lat 13.9N and long 66.0E, around 860km west-southwest of Goa, 910km southwest of Mumbai, would escalate further and move north-northwestwards."

The climate division had likewise prompted anglers not to wander into such twister hit regions in the Bedouin Ocean. The individuals who were out adrift were encouraged to get back to the coast, it had said prior.
