Balasore: Neighborhood locals set burning three steers loaded pickup vans close to the Tardhana crossing point of Kamarda-Baliapal primary street under Kamarda police limits here on Saturday night.
As indicated by reports, three get vans purportedly shipping around 100 cows to adjoining West Bengal were confronted and blocked by a gathering of locals who got into a squabble with the driver and staff of the vehicles.
The contention increased between them following which the gathering of locals set the vehicles on fire in the wake of liberating the cows. The matter was infored to the police which arrived at the spot and deflected the circumstance from irritating further.
A senior police official said that two cases have been enrolled in this association based on grievances documented. Police have been sent nearby, and an examination is in progress.
