Bolangir Police on Thursday tackled the secret encompassing the homicide of a constable in the wake of capturing six people remembering two from Jharkhand for their supposed contribution for the homicide case. The casualty has been distinguished as Shankarbhanu Behera, a constable connected to a police headquarters in Sonepur.
The captured people have been distinguished as Pankaj Kumar and Suraj Kumar Barnwal, both from Jharkhand; Krushna Meher from Angul, Manoranjan Sathua from Boudh, Nitai Kar from Sonepur and Rohit Sa from Patnagarh region in Bolangir area. The denounced were created in a court.
As per sources, the charged people and the casualty were engaged with the unlawful exchange of valuable stones and jewels. They had given a cash to Behera to obtain valuable stones including jewels for them. On May 16, they had called Behera to Room No-212 of Inn Indraprastha, situated close to the Bolangir Rail line Station where they killed him and escaped from the spot with the goods. ]
Illuminating about the turn of events, Bolangir SP Rishikesh Khilari said, "The captured people were engaged with an unlawful exchange of valuable stones and jewels. They had given an aggregate to the departed as the last option had guaranteed the previous to supply jewels and a few valuable stones to them. Upon the arrival of the occurrence, they called him to Lodging Indraprastha, attacked him there and deserted with the goods."
