The triumph of DMK chosen one S. Murasoli from Thanjavur Lok Sabha Voting public hosts helped the get-together equivalent the Congress record of winning multiple times from the seat.

The DMK, which won the seat in 1967, had the option to make a rebound just in 1996 and held the seat till 2009, because of its veteran MP S. S. Palanimanickam. He was again chosen for Parliament from Thanjavur Supporters in 2019.






Mr. Murasoli who partook in an agreeable lead from the main round itself over his closest opponent, P. Sivanesan of DMDK, has acquired a lead of more than 2 lakh votes in the fifteenth round of counting. He sacked 3,423 out of 5,910 substantial postal votes. A sum of 6,454 postal voting forms were projected and 544 were dismissed.




The DMK up-and-comer surveyed 5,02,245 votes to win the seat, while his closest opponent Sivanesan 1,82,662 votes and the BJP chosen one, M. Muruganatham 1,70,613 votes. Humayun Kabir of Nam Tamilar Katchi got 1,20,293 votes.
