The mother, stepfather were accused of murdering a minor in Balasore, Odisha

The girl's biological mother and her stepfather have been accused of killing the 13-year-old girl in 2022.

The biological mother and stepfather were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. The court also ordered both of them to pay a fine of Rs 5000 and in default of payment of the fine amount they will have to undergo an additional imprisonment of 6 months.

The accused today have been identified as Baby Biwi and Abdul Rahim.

According to reports, in a shocking incident in 2022, the girl's biological mother and her second husband killed the 13-year-old girl. Later, the deceased girl's biological father, Sheikh Qutbuddin, filed a complaint on 28 June 2022 about the murder. Balasore Town Police Station

Accordingly, the case was pending in court. Today, the court issued an order in this case and sentenced the couple to life imprisonment. Prosecuting Attorney Pranab Kumar Panda was handling the case on behalf of Odisha state.
