Avalanche in China's Sichuan region kills 14, leaves 5 missing: state media
The avalanche happened at around 6am on Sunday morning in a hilly region close to the Leshan city in the south of the territory.
In excess of 180 salvage laborers have been dispatched to the site, with search salvage tasks as yet progressing, CCTV said.
The Leshan city was hit by weighty downpour over the two days before the episode, weather conditions following information showed.
Recently, no less than four individuals were killed in a breakdown at a coal mineshaft in northern China, while the advancement in the quest for handfuls who were missing was hampered by a huge avalanche.
